About Wallpaper

Be careful about your choice of wallpaper. Wallpaper uses up memory and has to be re-drawn every time you return to the desktop. Whenever possible I use a 256 color image for my wallpaper even though I am running my PC in "high color" mode and my system runs better because of it. I also stay away from those programs that offer to rotate my wallpaper, etc. Remember anything that automates a process has to use system memory and/or resources to do so. There is always a performance price to pay.
