Supporting the Community

bullet

In an effort to support the community in which we are located, Computing @home has donated the design, hosting and domain costs in creating a website for our Sandtown/Winchester community. Check out the Sandtown Community website by following the link in the right hand column under "New".

Sandtown Habitat for Humanity

bullet

Computing @home assisted the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate here in Sandtown in upgrading their office systems. After years of keeping the woefully outdated workstations and server running on rubber bands and paper clips we specified, installed and migrated all their old data over to new Dell workstations and server. In addition, we gave the Habitat website a much needed facelift  which you can view by following the link in the right hand column under "New".

New Song Community Learning Center

Computing @home now assists in providing IT services, free of charge, to the Learning Center. We have also provided, at no cost, a website that can be seen here.

Martha's Place

bullet

Computing @home installed the new office network for Martha's Place. Martha's Place is part of NewBorn Holistic Ministries.

 We've Moved

After spending our first four years in Bel Air we moved to Baltimore on June 1st 2001. This put us closer to our main customer base and in particular the great things happening in this city. Take a look at Habitat's site to see what I'm talking about. This move also provides that personal income earned in Baltimore...now stays in Baltimore...which is as it should be.

Computing @home was selected to provide the data and telecommunications backbone wiring at Eden's new location. Four story 100+ year old buildings are always a challenge to retrofit, but we got it done. Occupation is set for around the middle of March
